The lockdowns had created uncertainty and it was important for our tamaiti to experience a familiar routine at Tino e Tasi of mat time, with a collection of beautiful songs that encourages the Samoan language in their own home.Fa’afetai lava to the Ministry of Education.
With the support of the Pacific Education Innovation Fund, the tamaiti of Tino e Tasi Preschool gained the experience of singing and recording beloved pese performed every day at Tino e Tasi Preschool to share and showcase Gagana Samoa with the world in the digital space.The Pacific Education Innovation Fund specifically targets innovative practices that support Pacific learners’ wellbeing and curriculum needs, which have been affected by COVID-19, including in Pacific bilingual and immersion education.Fa’afetai lava to Kiwa Digital, who made this app possible to share around the world.A big thank you to our Audio Engineer and Videographer Adam Hogan from Loho Studios, who recorded the magical voices of the tamaiti and faia’oga.
